AIRPLAYS ON GERMAN RADIO

New Zealand musician Nick Hohepa, has received significant airplay on a wide range of German public and private radio stations for eachof his three New Zealand single releases.

Nick’s self-funded single releases, “Baby Hold On”, Cosmic Girl” and “Best of Years” are each supported by videos and were released over the past 18 months in New Zealand before being accepted by public radio stations in North, West, South and East Germany.

New Zealand would ever listen to my music,” he says. “It’s amazing to see my name pop up on German playlists. I’m also very excited to be planning a trip to Germany to play and visit radio stations this year.”

Highlights of his career to date include performing as support act for artists such as Che Fu and John Rowles, and picking up his first New Zealand On Air grant, with which he recorded his first single in 2004, entitled “Ordinary Girl”. Nick recently supported his third single release in New Zealand with a live performance on the Good Morning Show on TV One, The Erin Simpson Show on TV2, National Radio with Jim Mora and live shows around Auckland. He also performed at the prestigious Silver Scroll Awards in Christchurch for the Maori Category Song Award his year.

The next single release, “Mollusc Hunter” is due for release in February 2010. The accompanying video was shot in his hometown of Napier in January this year.

09/07/08 The 'Best of Years' video is getting shot beginning of August 09 and will be released September 09 keep an eye out for it.

21/05/2009 Auckland singer/songwriter Nick Hohepa will be performing at the Dogs Bollix in Newton on Thursday, 21 May to help raise money to send a teenage beach volleyball player to Turkey for an international competition.
